Each mentor works directly with each student to monitor student grades and provide academic support and encourage and promote accountability for their educational goals. Additional services include homework assistance, standardized test preparations, support with college (including MITW, FAFSA and Native American scholarships). All mentors provide a culturally responsive learning environment. The Indigenous Education Program coordinates with certified SBPS teachers and community resources to provide extra tutoring after school hours when requested.
